A Tulsa World editor is evidently not as enthused about a new state flag as is Representative Shane Jett. The Tecumseh Republican introduced a bill this session to change the word OKLAHOMA on the flag to OKLAHOMA!. HB 2230 would also change the state abbreviation from OK to OK!

Jett represents a portion of Little Axe.

The World editorial called Rep. Jett’s attempts to alter the state flag

“… foolish and pointless activities.”

We tend to agree that the changes do seem a bit silly, but the World can’t seriously claim legislating exclamation points is a pointless activity.
