The Little Axe Community Center has really been cookin’ since the start of the Kids Summer Lunch Program. Kids 18 years or under are eligible for a free lunch Mondays through Thursdays between 11:30 and 12:30. The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is again offering the lunches.

It is no small feat to feed dozens of hungry kids. This is the first string team behind the lunch service this year at the Community Center.

Luckily, they do have some occasional backup from traveling Pioneer Library storytellers.
