Once upon a time there were 3 blue pitchers missing from the church kitchen. An all points bulletin had been delivered so the thieves (or forgetful borrowers) could return then. So with red faces and contrite hearts 5 pitchers were returned! Somehow or other the math just didn’t add up. This reminded me of one of God’s promises found in Luke 6:38. Jesus says, “Give, and it will be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, will men give unto you. For with the same measure that you give it will be measured to you again.” Apparently that goes for blue pitchers too!
This coming week I challenge you to look for God – even in blue pitchers!
