The Little Axe high school football squad rolled over Seeworth Academy last night 33-6 in preparation for the school’s first ever football post season.

With the recent OSSAA disqualification of Jones’ quarterback Daxx Garman, Little Axe picks up an extra win, ending the regular season with a 6-1 record in District play and 8-2 overall. Other teams hit this season by eligibility scandals were Jenks, Booker T. Washington, Sand Springs and Durant.

Coach Tony Smith and his staff have one week to hone the team for the first round playoff game against the Bears of John Marshall, who finished the season with a record similar to the Indians, 8-2 and 5-2 District. John Marshall last made the playoffs in 2001. Little Axe will host the game.
