US Sen. Tom Coburn may want to be more careful what he wishes for:
Hours before voting to clear the way for health care reform in the Senate, Republican Senator Tom Coburn said on the floor, “What the American people ought to pray is that somebody can’t make the vote tonight. That’s what they ought to pray.”
US Sen. Jim Inhofe just happened to honor Dr. Coburn’s prayer:
The [Health Care] vote, which adhered to party lines, was 60-39, with Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) as the only abstaining Senator.
US Rep. Tom Cole has the highest amount of congressional expenditures among Oklahoma’s congressional delegation.
The office total for Cole for the quarter was a total of $390,047.
State Rep. Randy Terrill, District 53, had the legality of his legislation to turn over nonviolent illegal immigrants in state prisons to federal officials for deportation upheld by an opinion from Oklahoma’s Attorney General, Drew Edmondson.
State Rep. Wallace Collins, District 45, wants to make ATVs street legal.
