NATURE CENTER ACTIVITIES
Saturday, July 24th
2:00 – 3:30 pm – Plaster Casts, and Skins, Skulls, and Tracks. Make a plaster of Paris cast of an animal footprint. Then while it sets, we’ll learn what tracks, as well as skins and skulls, can tell us about how an animal lives. Ages 2 and up. 50¢ fee.
Friday, July 30th
2:00 pm – Bug Prints. Make a print on your own T-shirt for 50¢ or on one our bandanas for $1.50. Ages 2 and up. Allow time for paint to dry.
3:00 pm – Animal Charades. Act like an animal and see if others can guess which it is. Ages 2 and up.
Saturday, July 31st
10:00 am – Tree Walk. What kinds of trees grow around the Nature Center? Join us on a walk around the area to see what we can find. All Ages.
11:00 am – Bats Around Us. A slide show for all ages featuring interesting facts and outstanding photography.
2:00 pm – Caterpillars and Butterflies. Learn about the life cycle of butterflies while making a cute caterpillar or butterfly (or both) from egg cartons, pipe cleaners and construction paper. Ages 3 and up. 50¢ fee per item.
3:30 pm – Oklahoma Turtles. Learn about different groups of turtles, and meet the Nature Center’s 7 different kinds.
