In response to funding cuts, as of July, the City of Norman began furloughing non-union employees one day per month. Pam Sharp, Little Axe Community Center supervisor, is one of those people affected:

“I asked that I be able to have the same day each month so the public will know that I am not at the center that day. The day will be the last Friday of each month.”

The next scheduled furlough day for Pam is August 27.

The site maintenance worker is exempt and will be at the center these Fridays.
