Animals and Insects

NATURE CENTER ACTIVITIES

Saturday, August 21st
9:30 am – What Did That? Become a nature detective as we look for clues that insects and other small animals leave behind in our world. Ages 5 and up.
11:00 am – Oklahoma Insects. Learn about insects and see some of the many kinds found in Oklahoma. Ages 4 and up.
1:30 pm – Caterpillars and Butterflies. Learn about the life cycle of butterflies while making a cute caterpillar or butterfly (or both) from egg cartons, pipe cleaners and construction paper. Ages 3 and up. 50¢ fee per item.
3:00 pm – Animal Charades. Act like an animal and see if others can guess which it is. Ages 2 and up.

Saturday, August 28th
2:30 pm – Nature Story Time. Listen to the Naturalist read stories about animals and nature.
3:30 pm – Nature, Bug, or Reptile Bingo. Play one of these fun and informative variations of the familiar game. Ages 2 and up (2s and 3s may need a little help).
