What’s Up with Trees

The Nature Center will celebrate National Arbor Day with tree-related classes and activities.

10:00 am – What Is a Tree? Learn about the parts of trees and how they live. Ages 4 and up.

11:00 am – What Are Trees Good for? The role of trees in the environment. Ages 4 and up.

1:00 pm – Tree Walk. What kinds of trees grow around the Nature Center? Join us on a walk around the area to see what we can find. All Ages, but under 5 must be accompanied by a parent.

2:00 pm – Clay Leaf Prints. Make a print of a real leaf in self-hardening clay. Ages 4 and up. $1.00 fee. Please call for reservation.

Discovery Cove Nature Center is located off Hwy 9, about .9 miles down Clear Bay Ave, almost to the boat ramp and across from Turkey Pass Campground.
