Site preparation begins

Trees and earth are being moved to make way for construction of a $6.5 million Little Axe middle school complex. Plans call for 22 classrooms, a cafeteria, computer labs, a library and science labs. About 300 students are currently enrolled in grades six through eight.

Voters passed the $7.575 million bond issue to build the middle school along with a new administrative building in September.
