Saturday, 2/11
11 am. Valentines from Nature. Make special Valentine cards using spray-painted heart-shaped leaves. Ages 5 and up. 50¢ fee.
1 pm. Winter in Oklahoma. This new class takes a look at our winter weather and what plants and animals can be seen. May include a short nature walk, weather permitting. Ages 5 and up.
2 pm. Animals in Winter. This new class explores the many strategies animals use to survive the winter. Ages 5 and up.
Saturday, 2/18
10 am – 1:00 pm. Eagle Watch. Last chance this season! Meet at the Nature Center for an informative presentation about Bald Eagles. Then join in a caravan to several potential viewing sites. See the flyer or call the Nature Center for more details. Please use your own judgment as to whether this is a suitable activity for your child. No fee, but advance reservations required.
Sunday, 2/19
1 pm. Plaster Casts. Make plaster of Paris casts of animal footprints. Ages 2 and up. 50¢ fee. Casts will require about 1 hour to set. How about trying the next activity while you wait?
1:30 – 2:30 pm. Skins, Skulls, and Tracks. See what these three things can tell us about how an animal lives. All ages.
3 pm. Trees Through the Year. Learn about seasonal changes in the lives of trees. What’s going on with them during late winter? Ages 5 and up.
