Every once in a while a DUI checkpoint is set up here in Little Axe. They have been located just off of Hwy 9 on 156th St. Police were there again this Memorial Day weekend, Sunday from 5pm - 9pm. My kids graduated from Little Axe years ago, but I will be voting yes on the Little Axe School bond issue April 7. First of all, the repair of the high school roof is a no-brainer. Rep. Jett excited about new flag

A Tulsa World editor is evidently not as enthused about a new state flag as is Representative Shane Jett. The Tecumseh Republican introduced a bill this session to change the word OKLAHOMA on the flag to OKLAHOMA!. HB 2230 would also change the state abbreviation from OK to OK!
